Sustainable Harvest Cork

Natural cork is harvested every 8-9 years from the regenerative bark of the cork oak tree. They are never cut down. Cork oak trees stripped of their bark absorb 3-5x more Co2 and release more O2. It is estimated that every year cork oak forests retain up to 14 million tonnes of carbon dioxide, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the main cause of climate change.
